Board meeting – Monday 10th December

The Stow Community Trust hold monthly board meetings to report on the work of the Trust and it’s members.

The key points from the meeting on 10th December are as follows:

1. We’re delighted to welcome three new board members. They are Tom Parnell, Jess Elliot and David Montgomerie. We are really looking forward to their contribution to our work in what is going to be a very busy year as we plan to get the work on the Station House moving in the new year.

2. The Board has agreed to develop a partnership with Just Cycle a social enterprise based in Tweedbank to deliver the cycling hub.

3. The Board also agreed to provide governance support to the pump track group while they develop their plan and their own governance arrangements. We’re delighted to have the opportunity to support this work. It complements  the Trusts plans for the development of the cycling hub in the Station House. This together with our partnership with Just Cycle, this really strengthens our ambitions to make Stow a cycling and walking destination, as well supporting all of us to be more active in the interests of our health and wellbeing.
