Four e-bikes are en-route to Stow after being held up in the Suez Canal – yes really! – and we have a further three e-bikes expected in May.
Our first four bikes will be available for loans of up to one month for local residents. These bikes will be prioritised for people who want to use them to ditch the car and use e-bikes for everyday journeys such as commuting to the railway station, getting to work , going shopping, visiting friends etc. We’ll also be prioritising the bikes for people who are coping with health challenges and working their way back to fitness.
From late May, we’ll also provide bikes for day rental, giving everyone a chance to try them out to go exploring around our beautiful surroundings.
There will be a separate Stow Cycle Hub Facebook and website where you’ll be able to make your bookings and get the latest information about the routes that have been mapped, led cycles dates and routes, bike maintenance classes, bike proficiency opportunities and a whole lot more.
Things are really moving now, so much going on that will help realise the vision of making Stow and our wider community a great place to live and visit.
Keep watching this space!
